1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Gwthar Juli’s matrimony services, including our website, mobile applications for iOS and Android, and related features (together, the “Services”), operated by the provider of Gwthar Juli (“Gwthar Juli”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account, downloading our app, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

The Services are intended for adults seeking matrimony within the Bodo community. You represent that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher, and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. You may not use the Services on behalf of another person in a way that violates these Terms or applicable law.

3. The Services

Gwthar Juli provides tools to create a profile, discover potential matches, and communicate in a community-focused environment. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features or the Services as a whole at any time, including for maintenance, legal compliance, or business reasons. We will try to give reasonable notice for material changes where practicable.

4. Your Account

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete profile information and update it as needed.
• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials and notify us promptly at support@gwtharjuli.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
• Not share your account with others in a way that circumvents safety or verification, and not create multiple accounts to abuse the platform.
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account, except where caused solely by our gross negligence or security failure.

5. User Content and Licence

You retain ownership of content you submit (such as photos, text, and verification materials). You grant Gwthar Juli a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting or display), distribute, and display such content solely to operate, promote, and improve the Services, including showing your profile to other members according to your settings and our policies. You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this licence and that your content does not infringe third-party rights or violate law.

6. Acceptable Use

You must use the Services only for genuine matrimony purposes. You must not:

• Harass, threaten, defame, stalk, discriminate against, or harm other users, or encourage others to do so.
• Impersonate any person or entity, misrepresent your identity, marital status, or intentions, or create fake or misleading profiles.
• Solicit money, investments, or illegal activity; promote escort services, commercial dating schemes, or spam.
• Scrape, crawl, harvest, or automate access to the Services except through interfaces we expressly permit.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from our apps except where mandatory law allows.
• Upload malware, interfere with servers or networks, or bypass security or access controls.
• Collect or misuse personal data about other users outside the normal use of the Services.
• Use the Services in violation of export control, sanctions, or other applicable laws.

7. Verification and Enforcement

We may verify profiles, request documents, restrict visibility, or take other steps we consider appropriate for trust and safety. We may suspend or terminate your account, remove content, or refuse service if we believe you have violated these Terms, our Privacy Policy, or applicable law, or if we must do so for legal or operational reasons. We are not obligated to monitor all activity but may do so to enforce these Terms.

8. Paid Features

If we offer subscriptions or one-time purchases, pricing, billing cycles, renewal, cancellation, and refunds will be presented at the point of purchase and in any supplemental terms shown in the app or on app store platforms. App store payment terms may also apply where purchases are processed by Apple or Google.

9. Intellectual Property

The Services, including software, branding, logos, text, graphics, and layout (excluding your content), are owned by Gwthar Juli or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Services in accordance with these Terms, no rights are granted to you.

10. Third-Party Services

The Services may link to or integrate third-party websites, app stores, maps, or tools. Your use of those services is at your own risk and subject to their terms and policies.

11. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any match or communication will lead to marriage or any particular outcome. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users and for verifying information before making personal decisions.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Gwthar Juli and its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of or inability to use the Services. Our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or related to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) one hundred (100) Indian rupees if you have not paid us. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Gwthar Juli and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Services and request account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or harms the Services or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law) will survive termination.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to mandatory consumer protection rules in your country that cannot be waived, you agree that courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Services, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice (such as in-app or by email) where required by law. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires your explicit consent.

17. General

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Gwthar Juli regarding the Services and supersede prior agreements on the same subject.
